OOC:
I apologize for not being around much. I’ve just got a lot going on right now and my mind is being the most indecisive thing in the world. I’m hoping I can take a day and just sort of slowly post all my guys a starter on here. But I’m trying to get all my drawings done for my art class, then I have to make a thingy and document ALL my artwork, then my computer class and work >.< so I just ask for patience with my absence on here XD
Jack pulled two of the younger boys off each other for the fifteenth time that night, “will ya stop ya yellin’?” he said irritably, setting the down on opposite bunks, he walked on, the two just tackling each other again as the newsie leader rubbed the back of his neck. Tonight was tiring, there seemed to be more fights amoungst the boys tonight than he could handle. He looked around before disappearing downstairs, it was a little quieter down here in the lobby, the loudness of the bunkroom sounding like the murmur of bees in a hive. He slipped out the door with a cigarette clenched between his teeth, lighting it up and leaning against a lamppost, exhaling smoke out into the night air.
He had had to get outta there for a minute, even if it was just a smoke break. He laughed, “Kids…” he couldn’t help but wonder if he and the older guys had been like that at that age, and had Kloppman had to pull them off each other like Jack did.
OOC
People I will be keeping (getting their stuff submitted today, might be a bit sporadic, going into town to check on my grandmother then work later):
Jack
Snitch
Max
Pyro
Connor
Iam dropping a fair few, including Race, because as much as I love Race and he is my baby, I just can’t get into him like I used to, maybe if his muse comes back, I’ll drop one, and bring him back in who knows.
But yes, I can handle five, it’s an easy number for me.
Activity Check!
Please Like/Reblog if you are still interested in being a part of this RPG. This RP may be restarting depending on how many responses this post gets. Thanks!
((I am still interested. However, I am currently trying to decide who all I want to keep, Jack most definitely, Max, Connor, Snitch, and I don’t know who else. I’ll probably make a post of who all I’m dropping once I figure it out. I really hope it restarts! I miss this thing!))
Christian Bale as Jack ‘Cowboy’ Kelly in Disney’s Newsies (1992)
OOC: I am off to bed, I’ll probably be home all day tomorrow and reply to things then :)
Night guys!
Bumlets had enough of the noise in the bunkroom and was in need of a smoke. He climbed up on to the roof and found Jack there.
“Hey Cowboy!” He grinned and lit his cigarette. “Fellas drivin’ ya crazy too?”
Jack looked up when he heard someone came up on the roof, “Heya Bumlets,” he laughed, it did get pretty loud in there, “Yeah, can’t pay attention t’a book down there,” he closed the book up, not wanting to be rude, he knew the ending already. He remembered his own cigarette and took a drag on it.
“I know it’s just a matter of time before Kloppy starts hitting everyone to get to sleep.” Bumlets sniggered and took a drag. “So how was sellin’ for ya today?”
“I’ll start fakin’ sleep if he does that,” Jack said, the idea of getting hit seemed cringe worthy, “Alright, what about you?” he blew the smoke out in small ovals, playing with the smoke, in hopes of getting it into a shape other than the oval.

Jack hadn’t felt like this in awhile. He stood on the rooftop of the lodge, a cigarette between his fingers but it had just been smoking away, the young man holding it forgetting that it was there. His tattered, faded cowboy novel setting on the edge of the roof. He’d been reading most of the day, since he got finished selling that morning. He’d finished it for god knows what time, and had stood there staring out over the rooftops for hours. He did get disheartened, especially looking at his money saved, he didn’t know if he’d ever get to Sante Fe. Part of him wanted to leave, find another way to get the money, get closer to that place out west he only dreamt about. He sighed, “Yeah, in ya dreams,” he stubbed the cigarette out, pulling out a fresh one and lighting it up, taking a drag off of it, blowing smoke at the sky and watching the blue wafts spiral towards the stars. He grabbed the book, siting on the edge of the rooftop, flipping through the book until he found one of his favorite parts, and re-reading it.
